I bought a Nikon D90 Today from Ebay

I finally gave in today. I took the advantage of Microsoft Live 25% cashback as well as Ebay's 10% off coupon and purchased the Nikon D90 body. From the technical side, I read a number of reviews - Kenrockwell.com, Nikonians.org and many other sites. They all seem to like this camera a lot and it is a huge upgrade from its predecessor - Nikon D80. The MSRP for the camera is $999. I ended up paying $620 after a $200 Microsoft Cashback and a $90 Ebay coupon. The eBay seller's price for this camera body is $899+$21 shipping.

Here is a list of reasons I bought this camera:
- Test Nikon system with my Canon 40D
- Taking adavantage of the High ISO (up to 6400) performance under low light
- Upgrade from my D40 (which is still a great camera, I intend to keep it)
- Take advantage of great Microsoft and Ebay discount (This may be gone ANY day)
- Take advantage of my exisiting 18-200 Nikkor VR lens. This will be a great combination for light travel

I am very excited now and can't wait to see the camera soon. More when I receive the camera...

你給我看得部落格我看了。我也跟你和作者一樣有很深的認同。

現在臺灣最缺乏的就是能獨立思考的人。你今天也許認爲你自己很超然，對所謂的"藍綠"都很吃得開。那也可以。你也可以認爲我是所謂的"深綠"，地位就跟你的那些"深藍"的朋友一樣。我只是要跟你說，今天我會傳那些資料給你，不為什麽，只因爲我認爲你還是我一個可以溝通的朋友。你大概會很驚訝，我不會把那些東西寄給那些你所謂的"深藍"-因爲沒有意義。

"垃圾"是我情緒化的用語，你可以不用理會。我從來沒對臺灣的政治失望到這種地步。我也很擔心越來越多人會像你一樣不關心政治。我希望你不要說"你已經不知道該如何品論現在社會的情形了。。"一個人只要有獨立思考的能力就可以很輕易地看出來臺灣現在走向的是民主倒退。。。噢。。又來了。。我不應該再跟你多說什麽，但是我堅決地相信那一些投馬您的人，不管他們現在的心情是什麽，他們是歉臺灣的民主，民主先驅，民衆一個深深的道歉。

我不支持陳水扁在特定事情上的所作所爲。但是這要有司法來判定，而不是你現在所看到臺灣正在進行的道德和媒體審判。這是非常危險的。這也是你的深藍朋友所愛看的。這就是我所說的洗腦。陳水扁今天即使被判定貪污。。他對臺灣民主的貢獻還是大家不可磨滅的。

雖然很不想做，但是最後還是跟你分享一下我認爲在詳實報導臺灣真相的部落格。如果你覺得是所謂單方面的看法，那就把他們刪了吧。

First Official Snow in Michigan 2008

You guessed it! Today the first "official" snow in Michigan arrived. Although there was no accumulation the snowfall was beautiful this afternoon. Look how "excited" Sammy was looking out the window.

We Michigan people are now ready for the long, cold, snowy winter!

Sammy's New Banana

 
Sammy is really enjoying the new toy we brought her from the Pet show yesterday. The banana is from the "Yeowwww" cat products and is filled with what they called "potent" catnips. She is now high the entire day. We had to store the banana last night so she didn't get high too often. We are glad that she really likes this toy.
